​The Taita Hills are a captivating mountain range located in southeastern Kenya's Taita-Taveta County. As part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, these hills are renowned for their rich biodiversity, unique ecosystems, and cultural significance.​

Geographically, the Taita Hills comprise three main massifs: Dawida, Sagalla, and Kasigau. The Dawida massif is the largest and tallest, with Vuria Peak reaching an elevation of 2,228 meters above sea level. Covering approximately 28,000 acres, the sanctuary serves as a vital corridor between Tsavo West National Park and the LUMO Community Wildlife Sanctuary.
